| Regulation 12 of the Carriage of Dangerous Goods
and use of Transportable Pressure Equipment Regulations 2004 (CDG 2004)
requires all companies involved in the transport, loading and unloading
of dangerous goods by road, rail or inland waterways to appoint a Dangerous
Goods Safety Adviser. A DGSA must hold a Vocational Certificate issued
by the Department for Transport (DfT). This certificate can only be
gained by passing examinations set by the Scottish Qualifications Authority

Training Method |
Classroom based,
with a significant amount of delegate participation. The course includes
LCD Projector and video presentations incorporating role play exercises,
culminating in a full mock exam paper. |

selected by LRT. SQA Examinations are held approximately 4 times a year
at centres all across the country. |
